Bowl Pairings

So, the BCS bowl pairings came out this evening, and once again mediocrity sets in and we have some outstanding bowls to look forward to.  Below is the link to the complete list of bowls and dates.  Have fun watching 20 bowls with either one or both teams participating with a record of (7-5) or (6-6), out of a total of 35 bowls.  Now tell me do we get a quality product to watch?  Yes, we can make the decision to not watch, but that is not the point.  The point is we have far to many bowls, with mediocre teams, playing in unimportant bowls.

The top 5 bowls, the BCS bowls, include a 10-3 Clemson vs. 9-3 Va. Tech, yet in two seperate non BCS bowls, a 10-2 TCU and a 11-1 Boise State play an 8-4 and 6-6 team respectively.  If you view the pairings, you will see more such pairings with a 12-1 team,11-1, and 10-2 teams playing mediocre teams.

Those bowls outside the BCS Bowls are tied to specific conferences, and not tied to performance.  If we have to be subjected to this system, then change the pairing method to reward those teams for their success.  Once again, money is KING.  Enjoy!!!!!
